Here are a few examples of some projects I've worked on over the last several years. More will be added over time.

Void War Web Guide
Void War is Rampant Games' space pilot action game.  Here you'll learn to fly and master ship-to-ship combat in multiple space battlefields to prove who is "Top Gun" in the void of space.  Rampant Games gave me the task of developing their user guide for the game, and because it comes with every copy of the game sold, the best format was a set of HTML documents.

"Intersci" Science Article on Dark Matter
I had a remarkable opportunity to write an article about Dark Matter research at San Francisco State University for the College of Science and Engineering at that university, "Intersci" (see the college's Website at http://www.sfsu.edu/~cse/).  During that time, I interviewed Professor Barbara Neuhauser and did research on Dark Matter so I could publish the article.  It was the cover story for the magazine, but I had to work closely with a subject matter expert (Dr. Neuhauser herself) to ensure the technical details were correct.

Webshots Help Guide
Webshots is a desktop computer’s wallpaper program.  With it, you can decorate the background of most computers running the Windows operating system.  This particular user manual was written as an exercise in 2005, and is NOT an official user manual.  Still, it is a good illustration of what a software or help guide is.

Business Card for a Storyteller
I was hired to create a unique business card for a client.  Julie Barnson is a professional storyteller (see her Website at http://www.talesbyjulie.com).  It's challenging making a business card or even a logo for a storyteller, but Julie wanted a tree on her card.  Why?  Because in some countries, people tell stories under the trees during the day. This was a tough balance of creativity and advertising key information for Julie's clients (or prospective clients). I created the design in Adobe Illustrator, laid out the card for the printer, and had it custom-printed. Julie liked it so much, she used the image on her Website (which I didn't design, but took as flattery).

Feasibility Study for a Ficticious Company
This document was a college assignment for a ficticious company, where the client needed a feasibility study done to help determine the best course of action.  A feasibility study is a balanced review of two or more options, giving a client the opportunity to make an informed course of action.  I'm sometimes asked to give assessments, or to help craft fact-finding documents for upper management so they can make intelligent decisions.  So while the analysis is for a ficticious company, it was excellent training for real-world job situations.
